Weather Synopsis & Forecast =========================== (This is for guidance only - do not make serious decisions based on this, please check with local Metrological authorities first!) BARBADOS, West Indies ------------------------------ Lat: 13.1º N Long: 59.5º W ============================================================= Monday, July 14, 2008 at 09:00 PM Local Time [UTC/GMT –04:00] ============================================================= Comment: Ok, so we have been a bit tardy getting off the mark here at Brohav WeatherFax but remember this is a part-time venture with no direct income (from sponsorship or advertising) from my efforts here on the site to provide near-real-time imagery, both Geostationary (GOES) and Polar Orbit (POES) Environmental Satellite imagery, Lightning Detection and Basic Weather Conditions captured right in on-site at Rockley, Barbados, which is then posted here in this website within minutes of receiving said imagery, date & information. More about the Weather: It would seem as if the Tropical Atlantic has come to life quite early in the hurricane season this year (Bertha being quite out 'character'), now we have another one on her heels to watch - Invest 94L - a strong tropical wave along 45W with a Low & slowly forming surface centre of circulation about 11N 45W based on the latest QuikScat pass this evening, yet the upper level circulation seems to be a little further northward around 12N 44/45W. In any event look for this to become a Tropical Depession within the next 12-36 hours. It has a well developed signature. Deep Convection is limited or shallow at this time but some burst are being noticed close to the centre and this sort of fluctuation is normal for depressions. Based of computer models, etc. it either be in the area of or pass close to the Lesser Antilles by late Friday through Saturday. --- see main page - http://www.brohavwx.com/ - for more information, images, links, etc. ---
